The following are the DSCE entry requirements: * Pass in PUC, CBSE, ISCE, or a similar exam with Physics and Mathematics as required courses and a minimum of 45% for General Category, 40% for BC including BCM (Muslim), MBC, and DNC, and just a pass for SC/ST/SCA. * CET or COMEDK score.

The DSCE has a very strong placement track record. The average compensation package provided to students for the 2022–23 academic year was 7.5 LPA. Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Accenture were a few of the major employers who made campus visits for placements.

In the DSCE, there is a dress code but no uniform. Boys must wear formal pants and shirts, and females must wear formal skirts or trousers and shirts.
